Secondary Curriculum
British Curriculum
“Where learning meets excellence and potential turns into achievement.”
The Cambridge Lower Secondary programme provides a smooth transition from Primary, building students’ skills and confidence in English, Mathematics, and Science. Cambridge Upper Secondary leads to the globally recognized Cambridge IGCSE and O-Level qualifications, which serve as an excellent foundation for Cambridge Advanced qualifications, such as AS and A-Levels—highly valued by universities and employers worldwide.
The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum promotes a student-centered, inquiry-based approach, developing subject knowledge, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, effective communication, decision-making, and cultural understanding. At Noor Al Diyar, we emphasize pride in appearance, work, and integrity, fostering an environment that supports both academic success and personal growth.
Cambridge IGCSE assessments include written exams, oral tests, coursework, and practical evaluations, all marked and externally moderated by Cambridge. The Cambridge International AS and A-Levels further prepare students for higher education, recognized globally for their academic rigor and credibility.

Lower Secondary
At the Lower Secondary level, students in Years 7 to 9 follow the internationally recognised Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum, which builds on the strong foundation laid in primary years. This stage is designed to develop key skills in English, Mathematics, and Science, while also broadening knowledge in Humanities, ICT, Art, and Languages. With a focus on critical thinking, collaboration, and independent learning, the curriculum prepares students for the academic demands of the Cambridge IGCSE programme. Our experienced teachers provide a nurturing environment where students grow in confidence, explore their interests, and develop the values and resilience needed to thrive in a global context.

IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education)
The IGCSE is a globally recognized qualification that serves as a strong foundation for higher education and future careers. It typically spans two years and is designed for students aged 14 to 16. The curriculum offers a wide range of subjects, allowing students to tailor their studies to their interests and aspirations. With a balanced emphasis on theoretical knowledge and practical application, the IGCSE promotes critical thinking, analytical skills, and independent learning. At Noor Al Diyar School, we ensure that our students are well-prepared to excel in these examinations through engaging lessons, comprehensive support, and a focus on holistic development.
AS Level (Advanced Subsidiary Level)
The AS Level is the first half of the A-Level program and is typically taken in the first year of post-IGCSE study. It allows students to specialize in a select number of subjects while maintaining academic breadth. The AS Level provides a stepping stone to more advanced A-Level studies and offers students an opportunity to delve deeper into their chosen fields. This qualification is recognized by universities and employers worldwide, showcasing a student’s aptitude and interest in specific areas. At Noor Al Diyar School, we guide students in selecting subjects that align with their future goals and ensure they receive the support needed to achieve excellence.

A Level (Advanced Level)
A Levels are a highly regarded pre-university qualification, offering students the chance to specialize deeply in three or four subjects. Taken over two years, A Levels are known for their academic rigor and focus, preparing students for admission to top universities worldwide. This qualification encourages in-depth study, critical analysis, and the development of advanced problem-solving skills. At Noor Al Diyar School, we pride ourselves on delivering a robust A-Level program that equips students with the knowledge and confidence to excel in higher education and beyond, while fostering intellectual curiosity and a love for learning.
